Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) is essential for prostate cancer but significantly elevates the risks of metabolic syndrome and Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events (MACE). We chose this theme to address the “heart-cancer tradeoff.” Our goal is to reduce therapy side effects and enhance quality of life, ensuring oncological success does not come at the cost of cardiovascular health.
We invite physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, nurses, and primary care team members. We especially encourage multidisciplinary care coordinators to join, as bridging specialist communication is vital for implementing life-saving monitoring protocols and protective interventions for our patients.
